Melbourne Family photography - Fitzroy Gardens

Are you considering different locations for your family photography session? Fitzroy Gardens is a great option. Located in the heart of East Melbourne, the Fitzroy Gardens are a great place to discover an historical and beautiful garden.

The Fitzroy gardens were originally established in 1848 as a reserve. The Fitzroy gardens were named after sir Charles Augustus Fitzroy, the governor of NSW. The layout of the garden follows a classic Victorian design, including pathways that are lined with elm trees. The gardens include a variety of secluded locations.

Some of the buildings and structures within the gardens are the Band pavillion, Sinclair’s Cottage and the Rotunda. They are all great options to be used as backgrounds during your family photography session.

The gardens are great to explore with younger kids, and it’s also a great location for a family picnic on a warm day and can be an impresive location during autumn as the trees change colours.
