Cheltenham Family lifestyle Photography - How to plan an epic Birthday party

great things to keep in mind when planning a kids birthday party.

Congratulations! You have survived another year of parenthood and now it’s time to put on your dancing shoes and have an epic day! Before you start planning the decorations keep in mind what this is all about: FUN. Here are a few tips to we hope will help you to get it all together.

1.- Find 5 games that are age appropriate: in my case I always turn to Pinterest for these and I search “ Minute to win it for a X year old” . Remember to keep the challenges simple and maybe have a practice run before the party to make sure that these games are engaging and age appropriate.

2.- Keep your theme simple, choose 3 colours maximum and stick with them, this way your party will look more cohesive and plain colours are easier to match and to find a variety of products rather than textures.

4.- Remember to create a quiet space, some young kids can get overwhelmed by the excitement of a party, and others will need a break at some stage. You can create a quiet corner with a craft table or colouring.

5.- Try to put your child down for a nap during the morning if you have the party in the afternoon, this way the star of the party will be ready to take on all the action.
